Larry & Sy have sought for years to bring the sustainable programs to the community

Larry & Sy have steadfastly maintained constant observation and focus
On creating their own projects ( land ownership and innovative
technology), while working with other local groups,programs and
organizations whose visions, goals and real work and commitment on the
ground out in the community relects the same long range sustainable
focus that they have represented thru real strategic thinking and real
action yesterday and today.
President Obama is opening doors for those who truly prepare, study
and know what you can contribute toward working for sustainable living
for all of our futures.

In this blog newsletter at the top of this blog, above the first video, we will introduce a portion of those
remarkable forward thinking action taking groups whom we have walked
this road with. They're all truly remarkable, committed groups that take action and do the work.
A road that I started on in the year 2000 when I interviewed Senator
Obama and (state senator Donne Trotter). I"m fairly certain that President
Obama recalls the moment.
I politely posed the question to both men, when I said fellows I"m
sure that you guys have given focus to my next question, but I"d like
to ask you anyway! Here goes....what plans or strategies have you
developed to impact the situation of under trained black & latin young
men and boys.

They both responded, and I recall that I was not overwhelmed with
either of their responses. Although it was very clear that both of
these brothers were stellar representatives for our race. I was truly honored when the event/host Morgan Carter met me in the hallway as I was entering the studio and excitingly asked me to start the interview event off, by posing the first question.Morgan passed on the day after Senator became President Obama.

Senator Obama even walked over to me in the rear of the studio, handed me his
business card and said get in touch. I think that I still have that card.

There are 2 things that have evolved from that special interview.
1. My question was answered on the day after Senator Obama became
president Obama. I was coming off the cicero blue blue line onto the
street in Chicao when a young brother probably in his early twenties
was sitting on the El bench. He looked peaceful and inspired. He said loudly while talking to no one in particular. I know that I can succeed now, because Americans voted Obama in. AT THAT STATEMENT AND THAT MOMENT I KNEW THAT SENATOR OBAMA HAD ANSWERED MY QUESTION. LOUD AND CLEAR.

2. Secondly since that evening and that interview years ago, yours truly has worked with other effective and talented people in Chicago to raise the bar in the community. I study current, evolving, best practice technology (social media) and it's impact on communities of color. Together and in unison with brother Larry Stafford, his family, The incredibly talented, brilliant Dr.Frank Yurasek, urban agents of change and progress such as Ms.Francis Simmons, Melvin Baily, Ricky Brown and Dr.Ayo Maat. Autistic proponent and inspirational community facilitator Mrs. Debra Vine, Solar pioneer and concept designer of 'The Neighborhood Electric Vehicle', Mr.Douglas Larson, Tireless, effective strategic community activist and C.E.O. of Green Acres Consulting Mr.Revin Fellows, The Great and renown Rural Folk Artist & Viet Nam Veteran Dr.Charles Smith,The Legendary Jim Slama, founder of Concious Choice Magazine, Dr.Martin Luther King friend and collaborator, pastor, scholar, pre-eminete author Dr.John Porter, Branding Genius and community treasure John Porter, Brad Cummings, Editor / Publisher for 'The Austin Voice Newspapers, on Chicago's Westside, Bob Von Dresek of The South Austin Coalition,Urban activities advisor Bill Morgan and The Visionary leadership of Pastor Curtis Rodgers. Each of these folks are working to create sustainable environment for others in our community. They all help many everyday in our community and around the country to create a more sustainable world. These folks are linchpins or on their way to become the strands that weave together new ways that tie and build current and emerging sustainable communities. They see President Obama's vision for a sustainable America. And they're preparing, thinking and doing the work!
